Lifehouse will rock the Super Bowl!!

Lifehouse has joined the star studded line-up for the Pepsi Super Bowl Bash 2009. The group will appear alongside Rihanna, Fall Out Boy and more in a two day celebration before the Super Bowl!  The big event will be televised on VH1 Thursday, January 29 at 9 PM., with the second half on Telemondo, and will be hosted by Jerry O’Connell. The concert will be held at the Ford Amphitheatre. Lifehouse will perform on the first day of the Super Bowl Bash.




Celebrity Apprentice celebrities announced...
Former NBA bad boy Dennis Rodman, country music's Clint Black and TV personality Khloe Kardashian will get down to business on NBC's upcoming "Celebrity Apprentice."  The slate of 16 celebrity rivals also includes Joan and Melissa Rivers, former football great Herschel Walker, "Baywatch" star Brande Roderick and one-time scandalous comic Andrew Dice Clay.  Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton, singer Brian McKnight and comedian Tom Green will also compete in business-oriented challenges around Manhattan, along with poker champ Annie Duke, pro-golfer Natalie Gulbis, actress-model Claudia Jordan, singer Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and former "Monster Garage" host Jesse James.  "Celebrity Apprentice," hosted by Donald Trump, returns March 1.

You know the Christmas song we play from Newsong called "The Christmas Shoes", but did you know it's a book and movie too?  One of my loyal listeners, Cindy in Bethesda, emailed me and said that the movie will air on Lifetime this Saturday at 3p and Christmas Eve at 9p.  If you haven't seen it I highly suggest that you do.  It's very sweet and touching.  It stars Rob Lowe and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

OJ Simpson's sentencing

AP Wire reported that O.J. Simpson has been sentenced to at least 15 years in prison for a Las Vegas hotel armed robbery by a judge who rejected his apology and said, "It was much more than stupidity."  Simpson stood stone-faced Friday when Judge Jackie Glass quickly rattled off his punishment after he pleaded with her that he didn't mean to steal from anybody when he tried to retrieve memorabilia.  He appeared ready to break down in tears as he told that he was "sorry and confused" before going into a rambling and emotional 5-minute declaration.  "I didn't want to steal anything from anyone ... I'm sorry, sorry," he said.  Glass ruled before sentencing that Simpson cannot be freed on bail pending possible appeal.

The cast of 90s sitcom Full House is planning to return to the small screen in an up-to-date version of the show that launched the careers of the Olsen Twins.  Mary-Kate and Ashley found fame sharing the role of little Michelle Elizabeth Tanner in the comedy, which ran from 1987 to 1995. It also made stars out of cast members Bob Saget, John Stamos, Jodie Sweetin, Davie Coulier and Candace Cameron Bure. And Stamos is plotting to reunite at least some of the cast for a "semi-remake."  Cameron Bure tells OK! Magazine, "John has been working on a semi-remake of Full House. I know it would involve me and Jodie Sweetin. We would revive our characters, but today as young women."
