Director, DDC Business Development
Itasca, IL
Requirements:
- 10 years of business development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business required, MBA desired.
- Extensive background in business and/or Transportation/traffic safety.
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated effective management skills required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budget management.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Organizes and directs the Defensive Driving Programs’ sales staff to achieve the department's new training center/sales objectives.
- Seeks out and develops new national corporate accounts for the Defensive Driving Programs.
- Advises staff of emerging trends, developments and policies creating opportunities in the transportation/traffic arena.
- Participates in critical, long-term decisions that affect the growth of the Defensive Driving Programs’ product line.
- Identifies new program and product line ideas.
- Assists the Executive Director in maintaining direct contact with corporate officials.
- Assists the Marketing Department in developing and implementing national and international marketing strategies to promote training programs.
- Prepares contract bids for proposals for local, state, or federal government agencies and major corporations.
- Represents the interest of the Defensive Driving Programs and National Safety Council before legislative committees, DMV's, AAMVA, and DOT's.
- Directs Defensive Driving Programs’ activities at national conven¬tions, conferences, and workshops, etc.

Senior International Business Manager
Itasca, IL
Requirements:
- BA or MBA in international business.
- 5 years international business experience.
- Experience with international safety and health organizations.
- Experience working with NAFTA safety and health issues.
- Experience working with US Hispanic safety and health issues.
- Speak/understand English and Spanish fluently
Responsibilities:
- Negotiates specific terms of agreements with international network partners worldwide.
- Manages the implementation of international network partner contract agreements.
- Works through the customer service and product development offices, ensures that products and services promised are delivered, invoiced, and paid as agreed.
- Serves as primary point of contact for North America, Latin America and the Caribbean international network partners, including developing and supporting the business relationship.
- Manages NSC responses to issues and opportunities associated with Spanish-speaking populations, both domestic and international.
- Develops and maintains relations with key organizations dealing with their safety and health issues; supports related business and advocacy activities of the NSC.
- Represents the NSC at meetings and regarding safety and health matters related to Spanish-speaking populations in other countries.

Circulation Planner & Analyst

Requirements:
- 3 years in a list environment with basic business experience.
- Experience negotiating directly with vendors to purchase lists.
- Experience using Crystal, SQL, MS Excel, Access, Word and SPSS.
- Experience using Data hygiene, List segmentation, Suppression and Merge/purge processing.
- Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and changing assignments.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparation and execution of circulation plans, both house file and prospecting selection.
- Develop and recommend circulation plans to meet top and bottom line goals.
- Ensure accurate implementation of mailings using proven techniques to identify the best customers to mail.
- Identify marketing risks and opportunities by analyzing customer and prospect segment level performance and sales trends.
- Work with external list providers to test, review results, summarize and provide future recommendations.
- Responsible for the placement of all list orders.
- Make recommendations to improve the quality of NSC customer information, including: data hygiene; de-duplication; and best practices across database records.
- Track and maintain the list budget information.
- Maintain and update documentation of all processing being run.

Customer Relations Representative

Requirements:
- High school graduate; college or business school preferred.
- 2 years of customer service or telephone sales experience preferred.
- Good listening skills and patience when dealing with customers and other departments.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Adaptability in fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Responsibilities:
- Handles customer orders, inquiries, complaints, and requests by telephone, mail, fax, or e-communication.
- Provides optimum customer service to build relationships to maintain and enhance existing business and to obtain new business.
- Analyzes nature of customers’ requests/complaints and applies corporate policies and procedures to routine situations.
- Solicits general customer needs through active listening; discusses features and benefits of programs.
- Recognizes opportunities to solution-sell programs and successfully cross-sell and up-sell the major programs provided by the NSC.
- Maintains general knowledge of NSC programs and learns new product information.
- Updates and maintains various records as it pertains to assigned customer accounts.

Human Resource Coordinator
Itasca, IL
Requirements:
- 2 years experience in HR required; 4 year degree preferred.
- Requires sound judgment and sensitivity to confidential information and employee matters.
- Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office platform software including Word and Excel.
- Must be detail oriented, highly accurate, and deadline driven.
- Position also requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- HRIS experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates hire process for new employees; enters new employee information into HRIS.
- Provides support with New Hire Orientation.
- Sets up employee file and status change form for payroll and benefits.
- Process benefit enrollment change forms for new and terminating employees.
- Assists in open enrollment.
- Coordinates all paperwork for terminating employees; sets up all required documentation including COBRA letters, enrollments and packets.
- Answers telephone calls and provides telephone support.
- Provides assistance to employees who come to HR for various needs.
- Runs monthly reports to track enrolment for all benefits plans, makes any additions or deletions and prepares monthly billing payments.
- Runs various monthly reports; attendance report, benefits roster, personnel roster, job title and department list, birthday and anniversary list.
- Actively assists in various HR projects throughout the year.
