Application Procedures for LANS Regular and Limited Term Employment

LANS Regular is an employee whose employment is of indefinite duration. A regular employee receives LANS benefits. A regular employee can be full- or part-time.

LANS Limited Term is a regular employee who is hired for 6 months to 2 years (with a maximum appointment total of 3 years) and is eligible to receive LANS benefits. A limited term employee can be terminated at will.

Application Process

  1. Find a job that matches your qualifications.
  2. Click "Apply for this job" button at the bottom of the detailed job ad.
  3. Complete all fields in the online application.
  4. Use the Cover Letter text box to address your skills, knowledge, and abilities relevant to each of the required/desired skills and the educational requirements. Taking this extra step will ensure that you receive optimal consideration during our screening process.
  5. Use the Resume text box to create your résumé or paste in an existing résumé.
  6. To ensure that you and lanl avoid any potential conflicts of interest, all current/former Government Officials must read and respond, if applicable, to the LANL Applicant Disclosure Form (pdf). If you are a current/former Government Official, a completed LANL Applicant Disclosure Form (pdf) must be submitted before your application can be processed.
  7. Click "Submit".

You will receive a confirmation email from our Resume Service Center once your application has been received and processed.

Please note: If you have special formatting in your résumé and would like that preserved, you can email your résumé and cover letter together as one attachment in MS Word format to jobs@lanl.gov.
