Jackson Greets National Distinguished Principal
Oct. 17, 2007
Congressman Jackson welcomed award-winning Principal Thomas Sedor and his wife, Cynthia, to Capitol Hill on October 17th. Sedor, principal of Infant Jesus of Prague Elementary School in Flossmoor, was one of only six private school principals to be honored as a 2007 National Distinguished Principal. The National Association of Elementary School Principals and the U.S. Department of Education sponsor the 24‐year old awards program, and fly the winners to Washington for a series of events to celebrate their achievement. Winning principals meet several criteria including being respected by students, inspiring teachers and having an active role in the community.
