VA Physician Presented VFW Award

Dr. Satish Sharma, Chief of Specialty and Acute Inpatient Care at the Providence, R.I., VA Medical Center will be presented the VFW, VA Outstanding Health Care Employee of the Year Award. This is the ninth year that the VFW has provided national recognition to a VA health care employee for their exemplary service to veterans and their families. This national award will be presented to Dr. Sharma on April 6, 2002, in Washington, D.C.
The VFW will honor Dr. Sharma for the impact that he has had on the lives of thousands of veterans throughout the six New England states served by the VA New England Healthcare Network. In their nomination of Dr. Sharma, the VFW sited his tireless dedication in supporting the mission of VA in providing the very best in patient care, education and research.
