17 VA Physician-Researchers Named to Association of American Physicians

Seventeen VA physicians are among 55 newly elected members of the Association of American Physicians. The group, with more than 1,000 active members, includes physicians who have made notable long-term contributions to medical science. It serves as a forum for the presentation and discussion of the full range of biomedical research, as well as research-related policy and training.

The new VA-affiliated members are: Samuel A. Bozzette, San Diego; Matthew D. Breyer, Nashville; David W. Crabb, Indianapolis; Richard A. Deyo, Seattle; Robert V. Farese, Tampa; Fred D. Finkelman, Cincinnati; W. Timothy Garvey, Charleston; David G. Harrison, Atlanta; Tehming Liang, Dayton; Daniel B. Mark, Durham; Thomas R. Martin, Seattle; Lina M. Obeid, Charleston; David S. Stephens, Atlanta; Peter D. Walzer, Cincinnati; Joel M. Weinberg, Ann Arbor; Teresa L. Wright, San Francisco; and Mark L. Zeidel, Pittsburgh.
