A pilot project to limit the number of patrons using the Prints and Photographs Reading Room at any one time has been rescheduled from the January 3 date announced previously. (Press Release 93-149) The date has been moved back to allow time for security modifications to the entrances of the reading room. The pilot project will now begin one month after this work is completed. An additional announcement will be made when the exact date is known. Because of staffing limitations and security concerns, the Prints and Photographs Division plans to limit the number of walk-in patrons at any one time to eight. Comments will be invited from the public after the pilot project has been in effect for three months. The limitation will not apply to congressional or Library of Congress staff. # # # PR 93-169 |
