Take notice that on September 24, 1999, Duquesne Light Company filed an application pursuant to Section 204 of the Federal Power Act and Part 34 of the Commission's Regulations seeking authority to issue not more than $900,000,000 of promissory notes and commercial paper and other evidences of short-term indebtedness from time to time with a final maturity date of not later than October 31, 2002. Any person desiring to be heard or to protest such filing should file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 385.214).
