The notice was published in the Federal Register on December 4, 1998 (63 FR 67140). At the request of the State agency, the Department reviewed the certification for workers of the subject firm. The workers are engaged in activities related to exploration and drilling for unaffiliated firms in the oil industry. New findings show that in September, 1998 Halliburton Energy Services merged with Dresser Industries, Inc. and became known as Halliburton Energy Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Dresser Industries, Inc., wholly owned by Halliburton Company. Information provided by the State also shows that some workers separated from employment at Halliburton Energy Services had their wages reported under two separate unemployment insurance (UI) tax accounts. Accordingly, the Department is amending the certification to properly reflect this matter.
