Take notice that on June 16, 1998, National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation (National Fuel), 10 Lafayette Square, Buffalo, New York 14203, filed a request with the Commission in Docket No. CP98-622-000, pursuant to Sections 157.205, and 157.211 of the Commission's Regulations under the Natural Gas Act (NGA) for authorization to construct and operate a new sales tap authorized in blanket certificate issued in Docket No. CP83-4-000, all as more fully set forth in the request on file with the Commission and open to public inspection. National Fuel proposes to construct and operate a new sales tap for delivery of approximately 60 Mcf per hour of gas with a maximum capacity of approximately 183 Mcf per hour to National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation. National Fuel states that the proposed sales tap would be located on its Line V-M194 in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. National Fuel estimates the cost of construction would be $100,000. National Fuel further states that this addition is not prohibited by its existing tariff, that there is sufficient capacity to accomplish deliveries without determent or disadvantage to other customers, that its peak day and annual deliveries would not be effected and that the total volumes deliveries would not exceed the total volumes authorized prior to their request. Any person or the Commission's staff may, within 45 days after the Commission has issued this notice, file pursuant to Rule 214 of the Commission's Procedural Rules (18 CFR 385.214) a motion to intervene or notice of intervention and pursuant to Section 157.205 of the Regulations under the NGA (18 CFR 157.205) a protest to the request. If no protest if filed within the allowed time, the proposed activity shall be deemed to be authorized effective the day after the time allowed for filing a protest. If a protest is filed and not withdrawn within 30 days after the time allowed for filing a protest, the instant request shall be treated as an application for authorization pursuant to Section 7 of the NGA.
