Expiration Date of Approval: Three years from the date of approval Summary of Collection of Information: In accordance with 46 CFR 355, shipowners, charterers, equity owners, ship managers, etc. seeking benefits provided by statute are required to provide, on an annual basis, an Affidavit of U.S. Citizenship to the Maritime Administration for analysis. Need and Use of the Information: The Affidavits of U.S. Citizenship filed with the Maritime Administration will be used to determine shipowners, equity owners, ship managers, etc. compliance with the statutory requirements. Description of Respondents: Shipowners, charterers, equity owners, ship managers. Annual Responses: 300 responses. Annual Burden: 1,500 hours.
