Building the New MFA
The State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance
The State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance opened June 20, followed by a weekend of celebration including a free Community Day on June 22.
Celebrating the Fenway
Big news: we've reopened our grand entrance on the Fenway! The new State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance opened June 20, ushering in a weekend of celebration, including free admission on June 22!

The new entrance features full accessibility, a pair of reflecting pools with fountains, new landscaping, new sidewalks, and dramatic new lighting. Visitors can enter here, and then find the new Sharf Visitors Center just steps away. Learn more about the Fenway renovation and celebration.

What's Happening inside the Museum
While construction crews make visible progress outside the building, gallery designers, conservators, and curators are busy putting the finishing touches on gallery design and layout.

Be sure to call the Museum with any questions about what's currently on view, or search under Collections to check the availability of any specific work.

Building the New MFA: A Refresher
The MFA's Building Project is transforming the way visitors interact with great works of art from the moment they enter the Museum. We've designed new spaces that encourage interactions between art and people, from displays and exhibitions to the educational, film, and concert programs that are hallmarks of the MFA. For a virtual tour through the "new" Museum, watch our 5-minute digital presentation, "Building the New MFA."
