Painting is one of many courses offered through the MFA.
Studio Art Classes and Workshops
The MFA offers studio art classes and workshops for families, children, teens, and adults, taught by a dedicated faculty of experienced artists and art educators. Course topics include drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and Chinese calligraphy, among others. In the studio, students are encouraged to experiment with materials and explore a variety of ways to interpret their ideas in art.

Families: join us for family workshops and preschool programs for children ages 6–10 (with an adult) that combine gallery visits with art projects.

Children: children ages 5–12 may participate in Saturday classes that introduce them to a variety of media through age-appropriate projects.

Teens: teens ages 12–18, choose from courses and workshops ranging from comic book art to painting to mixed media and sculpture.

Adults: choose from classes and workshops at beginning and advanced levels, offered both during the day and in the evening.

The MFA also offers workshops and courses in collaboration with Diablo Glass School and Stonybrook Fine Arts, open to teens and adults.

Fall Term: Sep 2 to Dec 19, 2008
No MFA classes on Oct 8 (evening); Oct 9, 11, 12; Nov 26–30. Please confirm with Diablo Glass School and Stonyfield Fine Arts for other class date exceptions.
Winter Term: Jan 3 to Mar 28, 2009
No MFA classes on Jan 19, Feb 14–20 (except for February Vacation Week Journeys Through Art). Please confirm with Diablo Glass School and Stonyfield Fine Arts for other class date exceptions.
