Commemorating the Start of the 1781 Siege The reenactment unit, the Lobsterback Society, will provide on-going living history demonstrations depicting British marines, presenting musket firing demonstrations on Saturday at 11: 15 AM ; 1: 15 AM and 3: 15 PM ; and on Sunday at 11:15 AM and 1:45 PM.
Saturday and Sunday a special one hour walk to Redoubts 9 and 10 will be offered at 10:15 AM.

Did You Know?
During the Civil War, 632 Union dead were buried in the heart of the 1781 battlefield. In 1866 this cemetery became a national cemetery. Within a 50 mile radius, the remains of over 1500 Union soldiers were disinterred from their war burials and honorably placed in the Yorktown National Cemetery.
