As the costs of food, transportation, and labor continue to rise, both parents and school nutrition programs are feeling financial pressure. While families that qualify for free or reduced price meals are entitled to those meals, parents that are not eligible for free or reduced price meals sometimes struggle with being able to pay for school meals.
