This is a workshop jointly sponsored by CENDI and NFAIS to be held at the U.S. Government Printing Office.
In today's competitive search environment, the union of content and technology is your competitive advantage when the search functionalities meet your users' needs and effectively showcase your content's value. But with so many approaches to search techniques - topical, vertical, local, broad-based, etc. - the optimum technique can be difficult to choose. This one-day forum will help you decide what will work best for your content - and your clientele.
Ned May, Director and Lead Analyst from Outsell, Inc., will provide an overview of current search technologies. Speakers will come from the public and private sectors and will include CSA, Nerac, the US Department of Energy/OSTI, Collarity, Technorati, Regulations.gov/e-Rulemaking at EPA, GPO, and others. Session highlights are:
- Search Engines, Target Markets, and the Impact on Business/Service Models
- Search Engines and the Personalization of Search Results
- Search Engines and User-Generated Content
- The Future of Search
Preliminary program and registration information. Check back frequently for updates.
