Please Note: In
anticipation of high research demand, selected materials from
the collection -- including the 38-hour oral history
video interviews and associated transcript --
have been digitized and are now publicly available online. Other
case materials have been digitized, but are only available
at appointed computer
workstations in the Manuscript Reading Room, LM 101, in the Library's
James Madison Building (see
map).
Use of any Library of Congress
Reading Room
requires a Reader Identification Card, freely available after
a short registration process in Room LM140 (more
information).
A detailed
description of the Blackmun Papers is available in
the online
finding aid prepared
by the Manuscript Division.
Researchers who have any further questions should contact
Manuscript Reading Room staff.
