U.S. Marshals Arrest Wanted Sex Offender

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoMidland, TX – This morning, U.S. Marshals from Houston arrested Jeremy Lynn Branum just north of Houston, at a mobile home park in Magnolia. Branum was wanted for Sexually Assaulting a young girl in Odessa in January, 2007.

The Ector County Sheriff’s Office, a member agency of the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, requested assistance from the task force in January to locate and arrest Branum, who had fled the area. Task Force members developed information that Branum was living with his wife and two small children in a mobile home in Magnolia. The U.S. Marshals from Houston located the mobile home, and found Branum inside, where he was arrested without incident.

U.S. Marshal LaFayette Collins of the Western District of Texas said, “The protection of our communities from sexual predators is vital, and we make these cases a priority, especially when it involves children who cannot protect themselves.”
