The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Announces the Arrest of Angela Jaime,
Girlfriend of 15 Most Wanted David Sauceda

Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) LogoWhen Homicide Suspect and Mexican Mafia Gang Member David Sauceda escaped from the Bexar County Jail on October 28, 2007, he quickly linked up with his girlfriend Angela Jaime and her two young boys ages 3 and 4.

The fugitive couple began their life on the run by fleeing to Mexico. Members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force quickly got on their trail. Once information was developed that placed Jaime and Sauceda in Mexico, the United States Marshals Service's Mexico City Field Office was notified. Marshals Service Inspectors assigned to Mexico City paired with their Mexican Counterparts and requested their assistance in arresting Jaime and Sauceda.

On Saturday January 26, 2008, David Sauceda was arrested near his residence in Mexico but Angela Jaime was not present. On Sunday January 27, 2008, contact was made between USMS and Mexican authorities and Angela Jaime was directed to self-surrender at the Port of Entry in Laredo, Texas.

On Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Angela Jaime was arrested by United States Marshals Service personnel from the Laredo Office at the Port of Entry in Laredo. Jaime will be brought back to Bexar County today to answer her charges.

Angela's two children are temporarily in the custody of Child Protective Services in Laredo and will soon be reunited with their grandmother.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “The arrest of Angela Jaime caps the end of the escape and flight of Jaime and David Sauceda. Let this be a message to those that choose to run; you can run for awhile and live in constant fear of being captured or you can just do your time and be done with it. If you decide to run, the law enforcement community will not only arrest you, but all those that aided you.”
