IOSS and Your OPSEC Program

The IOSS builds OPSEC services around a customer's OPSEC Program, based on the requirements established by an organization's senior leadership. The success of training and assessments depends on having an OPSEC infrastructure to apply skills and knowledge gained from training, or to correct vulnerabilities and unacceptable risks identified by an assessment. The IOSS Program Development Team provides a variety of services to assist in the development and management of your program.

Program Development Team will ...

• Help you/your organization get an OPSEC program started.

  The Associates Program is the best opportunity for an organization to get an OPSEC program started. The program is tailored to each participant or organization with the objective of developing the materials needed to establish a program or to expand an exisiting program.

• Provide consultation for potential and existing OPSEC programs.

  Consultation is available via the phone or e-mail. Consultation includes review of documents, discussion of a problem, or referral to other resources or subject matter experts.

• Assist established OPSEC programs with the planning and execution of OPSEC assessments or surveys.

  Upon request, a mentor will be assigned to work with a program manager to develop a survey plan, identify appropriate team support, and conduct the assessment.

Very often, combined services can be designed to meet a request, such as a combined program development and mobile training team to provide on-site training and prepare for an assessment in the same trip.
