Texas High Court Holds Hearing on Civil Legal Services

All nine justices of the Texas Supreme Court convened in the state capital on Dec. 10, for the court's third public hearing since 2000 on civil legal services for the poor. LSC President Helaine M. Barnett, who was invited to testify at the hearing, provided the court with a national perspective on the delivery of civil legal services.

LSC Selects Interim Provider in Wyoming

The Legal Services Corporation has awarded a grant to an interim legal services provider in Wyoming to ensure the delivery of civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families across the state, LSC announced today. LSC awarded month-to-month funding to Legal Aid of Wyoming Inc., doing business as Interim Legal Services Provider (ILSP).
