Well, I should say an amazing few years. In just a few days we will see a new President of the United States sworn into office. We will see a huge change in the policies, the attitudes, and the ideas of the people in government. And leading that will be a man I have grown to respect and admire over the last four years. .................................................................................... The Inauguration will take place on the West front and grounds of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. As of November 12th, after receiving more than 10,000 individual requests for tickets, Senator Murray’s office has stopped taking requests for tickets to the Inauguration ceremony. Please know, this does not mean you will be unable to attend. The general admission areas on the National Mall will not require tickets. These standing areas will be set up west of Fourth Street between Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive. The Capitol Police and the National Park Service are expecting as many as four million people to attend so please arrive early to avoid security delays. The Presidential Inaugural Committee will be responsible for tickets to the Inaugural Parade and the official Inaugural Balls. Only the PIC is responsible for distributing tickets to these events. See more information on the Inauguration festivities in Washington, D.C., including further information on Inaugural Balls, hotel information, and other important info. The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) is responsible for distributing and providing tickets to Members of Congress ONLY. UPDATE: Senator Murray and the Washington State Congressional Delegation are welcoming visitors in town for the Inauguration by hosting a celebratory coffee.
