(Washington, DC) - Congressman Herger today announced that four students from the 2nd Congressional District have accepted appointments to the United States Service Academies. Herger had previously nominated these students.
In announcing the appointments, Herger stated, “I offer these fine young Americans congratulations on their appointments to our nation’s service academies. All four candidates have performed admirably in the classroom and they are a credit to their families and friends. I say with great certainty that they will continue the honorable traditions of our Armed Forces and make all of us very proud.”

Interested young men and women 17 to 22 years of age, who are residents of the Second Congressional District and U.S. citizens, are invited to apply.
