Siskiyou Sled Dog
Races
1/22/2009 - 1/25/2009
Weed, CA
The SSDSA is proud to
announce that the Siskiyou Sled Dog
Races Distance Class race has been
accepted as an Official Iditarod
Qualifying Race in 2009. The Siskiyou
135 Mile Sled Dog Race will now be known
as the Siskiyou 220! The race distance
traveled will be increased to 220 miles
to fulfill Iditarod qualifications. All
racing events will be held from Deer
Mountain Chuck Best Memorial Snowmobile
park off Hwy. 97 just NE of Weed
California. There are a variety of
pre-race receptions planned for Mount
Shasta at the Woodsman Inn. Sprint &
Skijor team race competitions will be
held throughout the days of the 24th and
25th followed by the Awards banquet that
evening at the Sons of Italy Hall in

Red Bluff Community Bandwith
over 40 members performs for approximately 20 community events each year
in Red Bluff including Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Veteran's Day,
and the Summer Concert Series

Farmers' Markets
Every
Saturday - 8am at Red Bluff City Park
Every
Wednesday at 5pm - beginning July 2 - Washington Street between
Oak and Pine Streets in downtown Red Bluff.
The Wednesday evening Market is
augmented by a concert series sponsored by the Downtown Red Bluff
Business Association.
The
Corning Farmers Market is held EVERY
Friday commencing at 4pm at 660 Solano Street (next to the Sav-Mor
Foods) and features locally grown and organic produce, including Tehama
County's only certified egg farm and local olive plants.

The Sacramento River Discovery Center hosts a visitor's center that
is open to the general public Tuesday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. The center contains educational displays and hands-on interpretive
displays. The center also hosts monthly evening programs, an annual
dinner meeting, and a Watershed Celebration on the third Saturday in
