Description: The Census Bureau's CenStats provides access to several databases of demographic and economic information. Databases available include:

  • Building Permits Data
  • International Trade Data
  • Census Tract Street Locator
  • Detailed Occupation by Race, Hispanic Origin and Sex
  • USA Counties Data

  • U.S. Gazetteer - contains data for places, counties, county subdivisions, and ZCTAsTM (ZIP CodeĀ® Tabulation Area)
  • Zip Code Business Patterns - presents data on the total number of establishments, employment and payroll for more than 40,000 5-digit ZIP Code areas nationwide
  • County Business Patterns - provides data on the total number of establishments, mid-March employment, first quarter and annual payroll, and number of establishments by nine employment-size classes by detailed industry for all counties in the United States and the District of Columbia
  • Metro Business Patterns - provides data on the total number of establishments, mid-March employment, first quarter and annual payroll, and number of establishments by employment-size classes by detailed industry for all Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) and New England County Metropolitan Areas (NECMAs)
  • Economic Census - Service Sector Statistics
  • State Government Finances, (1992- )- provides a comprehensive summary of annual survey findings for state governments. The tables and data files present the details of revenue by type, expenditure by object and function, indebtedness by term, and assets by purpose and type.
  • American FactFinder - obtain population, housing, economic, and geographic data in the form of maps, tables, and reports from a variety of Census Bureau sources.
  • State and Metropolitan Area Data Book - features more than 1,500 data items for the United States and individual states, counties and metropolitan areas from a variety of sources
