HARMAN STATEMENT ON MOTORIST
ARRESTED POSSESSING WEAPONS AT LAX

Washington, D.C. -- Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-Venice) released the following statement in response to the arrest of a motorist at Los Angeles International Airport found to be carrying weapons and ammunition during a routine vehicle inspection check today:

“While much more must be learned, this incident demonstrates why security measures at LAX are so critical. Passengers and airport employees should be very grateful to astute checkpoint officials. This Congresswoman surely is.”
