Back from the funeral. Exhausted. Going to the Chuck E. Cheese's grandma used to take us to with my brothers & cousins for one last time. |
Also found: newspapers my grandma saved from the Kennedy assasination & aftermath, and a letter signed by Governor Ronald Reagan. |
Tonight we found my grandfather's birth certificate, military discharge, wedding announcement, marriage license, death certificate, & obit. |
Going through old photos and papers. Found some letters my grandfather wrote just before and after his time as a POW in WWII. |
It's been almost two weeks since I've had a stretch of time to myself. Happy to have a corner of a nearly-empty coffee shop for a few hours. |
