ADAPTS, the accessibility program for students at the Georgia Institute of Technology, has developed an accessibility Web site with an illustrated article containing graphs, technical instruction, and links to other accessibility Web sites. The ADAPTS article, entitled “Some simple techniques in making your website accessible,” is authored by Andrew Pae, Technical Coordinator at ADAPTS.

Mark Pilgrim has created an electronic accessibility book entitled "Dive Into Accessibility: 30 days to a more Accessible Web site". Pilgrim presents character sketches of five people who have a combination of physical, mental, and cognitive disabilities that make it difficult for them to use the Internet. Pilgrim presents 25 tips to help you make your own Web site more accessible and gives examples of how these tips benefit people with various disabilities. Section 508: The Road to Accessibility

The official Government Web site for Section 508, an amendment of the Rehabilitation Act, which requires federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities.

Vischeck

Vischeck stimulates colorblind vision. Vischeck is a system to show you what your Web site looks like to someone who is colorblind. Another system on the Vischeck Website, Daltonize, corrects images for colorblind viewers. Vischeck is based on SCIELAB from the Wandell lab at Stanford University.

W3C Web Accessibility Initiative

The Web site Accessibility Initiative (WAI) develops guidelines widely regarded as the international standard for Web accessibility. The WAI site has also created support materials to aid the understanding and implementation of Web accessibility.
