9/15/08 - NMCSD Puts Finishing Touches on Facility Beautification Project
Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) recently finished a four-month, $3.2 million facility beautification project to improve conditions and quality of care for service members and their families. This was the first major redesign to the hospital's various wards since they initially opened in 1988.

Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) hosted the 25th Annual Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Reunion June 7, 2008. The Armed Services YMCA has sponsored the event since its inception to allow parents and the medical center staff to celebrate the developmental milestones achieved by children who once received their care in the NICU.

After an extended stay at Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a local family welcomes home their daughter following nine-months of care. Jordan Delgado was unique to the NICU being the only baby in the ward who ate baby food.
