This 1918 image is from the series, "Building for Health" done for the Bureau of Social Education of the YWCA. Marie Danforth Page, 1869-1940, was a famous portraitist who is best known for her portraits of mothers and children. She was one of the few women appointed to the National Academy of Design. In addition to mothers and children and other subjects, Page also did several portraits of Harvard professors for the school's collection.
