“In the Archives are the Memories of Montana”

Since 1968, the K. Ross Toole Archives has collected materials relating to the history of western Montana and The University of Montana--Missoula. Subject strengths include Montana senators and congressmen, business, journalists and writers, the forest products industry, and the university. Holdings include 2,000 oral history interviews; over 50,000 photographs dating from the 1870s to the 1980s; over 500 manuscript collections (papers, ledgers, film, video, and artifacts); and some records of the university.

Spring Semester 2008 Hours for Archives and Special Collections:

Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday Evening, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
And by appointment

Summer Semester 2008 Hours for Archives and Special Collections:

Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and by appointment
NOTE:  Archives and Special Collections will be closed May 26 and July 4
