Family Search
Free genealogical research information from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Resources for Canada include step-by-step research guidance on searching for your ancestors in Canada (as well as those who came from Great Britain, and the United States and many other locataions); Canadian names and pedigrees in the International Genealogical Index, Pedigree Resource File, and Ancestral File; the 1881 Canada Census, searchable by name; the Family History Library Catalog, searchable for Canadian family histories, and for published resources and microfilm records for localities in Canada. Local Family History Centers provide worldwide access to most of the microfilms and microfiche in the Family History Library.
