2009 State Park entrance licenses now available!
Park Entrance License

The 2009 annual park entrance license for South Dakota's state parks and recreation areas are now available for purchase. The license allows access to S.D. state parks and recreation areas until May 2010.

Find a state park, recreation area or nature area.
Your first stop to learn more about the S.D. state parks across the state. Each of the parks is unique in it's own way, offering a variety of campsites, events and outdoor recreation for all to enjoy.

Follow in history's footsteps.
Traveling the Lewis and Clark Trail? Or do you enjoy old cabins, military forts, and prehistoric sites? The South Dakota state parks are the largest outdoor museums in the state. Click here for more information on historic sites and to download free brochures and activities for the kids!

Campsite, cabin, lodge or other?
For some, there’s nothing better than setting up the tent or camper for a leisurely weekend or week of camping. Others prefer a cozy camping cabin or group lodge. Whatever your preference, the S.D. state parks have the right accommodations for you.
