  • On January 24, 2007, Secretary Spellings launched the administration's policy for the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind.

  • The Department of Education has established four negotiating committees to address issues concerning Title IV loans, Academic Competitiveness and National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent (SMART) Grants, General Provisions, and Accreditation. Information on these committees including meeting dates and discussion drafts of the regulations can be found on our website under the 2006/07 Negotiated Rulemaking for Higher Education.
