Special Collection Focuses on Female Genital Cutting

December 10 marks the 60th anniversary of the universal declaration of human rights. Yet, three million girls today are at risk of female genital cutting. To increase awareness, Development Gateway interviewed members of civil society who work on this issue. Each one expresses his or her ideas, informed by their own backgrounds and experiences, with eloquence and conviction. This special collection includes interviews with Waris Dirie, activist and founder of the Waris Dirie Foundation, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, activist and former member of the Dutch parliament, and Khalidou Sy, program director at Tostan, based in Senegal.

Asian Summit Recognizes China Development Gateway

China Development Gateway won the title of “The Most Promising Network Media” at the Second Global Outsourcing Summit and the 4th International Cooperation Summit for Asia held in December 2008. There were more than 600 people attending this summit, including high level Chinese and foreign government leaders and officials, provincial and municipal leaders. Fortune 500 and Global Top 2000 business leaders, CEOs of Asia-Pacific corporations, economists as well as social activists also attended the event.
