Based on a survey of federal chief human capital officers, the report cites four key recommendations for President-elect Obama as he gets ready to take charge of the 1.9 million federal workforce.
According to a new poll released by the Partnership and Gallup, Americans continue to think poorly of their government in general. However, the survey suggests that there are a broad range of opportunities for President-elect Obama to dramatically shift public opinions of government, and usher in a new era where Americans look to the federal government as part of the solution, not the problem.
The health of the federal government is eroding and unless the next president moves past piecemeal reforms there will be serious consequences for the nation, according to Roadmap to Reform: A Management Framework for the Next Administration released by the Partnership for Public Service.
