CDC has recommended worker and general population exposure limits for chemical warfare agents:

  • CDC periodically reviews existing limits to examine if new risk assessment methods and toxicity data would suggest the need for revisions.
  • Exposure limits were originally recommended by CDC in 1988
  • Nerve agent (GA, GB, and VX) exposure limits were revised in 2003.
  • Sulfur mustard (H, HD) exposure limits were revised in 2004.
