Innovative Prevention Strategies—Policy and Practice to Eliminate Childhood Lead Poisoning by 2010

Description of Session

Many innovative state and local programs’ primary prevention strategies are helping eliminate childhood lead poisoning; yet, they may not be widely known outside the state or locality in which they are being used. Wider understanding and adoption of tools, publications, and other information related to these cutting-edge childhood lead poisoning prevention strategies can help us reach the national goal of eliminating childhood lead poisoning by 2010. Each presenter will discuss in-depth one major category of prevention tools and explain how state and local governments, community-based organizations, and others can use them to protect America’s children from lead.
