This issue was brought to the PRIT at the Healthcare Billing and Management Association meeting in Phoenix, AZ. Some payers are not compliant with HIPAA. Some providers who want to report these payers would prefer to do so anonymously. |
| Status |
The Office of HIPAA Standards has procedures in place that allow providers to preserve their anonymity through the complaint process. Providers that have difficulty with this process are encouraged to contact the PRIT. |
