Office of Student Achievement and School Accountability, Office of Elementary and Secondary Education:
This office provides funding and technical assistance to States on issues relating to Title I of the Improving America's Schools Act of 1994, including programs for neglected and delinquent youth.

E Rate:
This program provides a reduced telecommunications rate for schools and libraries.

Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services:
This office provides information on special education funding, research and legislation, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Office of Postsecondary Education:
This office provides information on higher education initiatives and programs. In addition, this office provides information on student financial aid.

U.S. Department of Justice Resources

U.S. Department of Justice:
This agency features information on programs, current research, funding opportunities and technical assistance. This agency also provides access to publications on current criminal justice and corrections issues.

The National Institute of Justice:
This is the research and development branch of the Department of Justice. The Institute provides information on research, evaluation and demonstration programs.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons:
The Federal Bureau of Prisons provides information on the Federal Prison system, including population counts, fact sheets and publications.

National Institute of Corrections:
NIC is an institute within the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, that provides assistance to federal, state, and local corrections agencies working with adult offenders.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention:
This office provides current research, funding opportunities and technical assistance in the area of juvenile justice.

U.S. Department of Labor Resources

U. S. Department of Labor:
The U.S. Department of Labor is charged with preparing the American workforce for new and better jobs, and ensuring the adequacy of America's workplaces.

Bureau of Labor Statistics:
The Bureau provides statistical information about current labor market trends and assists in the development of programs that address local labor shortages.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook:
This resource handbook is the Government's premier career guidance publication, provides essential information about prospective changes in the world of work and the qualifications that will be needed by tomorrow's workers.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Resources

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services:
This agency is the United States government's principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF):
This Office, within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is responsible for federal programs which promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals, and communities.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration:
This Federal agency is charged with improving the quality and availability of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services in order to reduce illness, death, disability, and cost to society resulting from substance abuse and mental illnesses.

National Occupational Information Coordinating Committee:
A network of Federal agencies and State Occupational Information Coordinating Committees (called SOICCs), NOICC promotes the development of information and skills needed to make sound decisions about education and work. This site is directed toward individuals who work directly with youth or adults on career development.

PAVNET:
PAVNET Online is a "virtual library" of information about violence and youth-at-risk, representing data from seven different Federal agencies.

National Institute for Literacy's Correctional Education Special Collection:
This site includes policy issues, discussion lists, history, reading list, projects, and more.
