The Work-Related Lung Disease (eWoRLD) Surveillance System, produced by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), presents up-to-date summary tables, graphs, and figures of occupationally-related respiratory disease surveillance data on the pneumoconioses, occupational asthma and other airways diseases, and several other respiratory conditions. For many of these diseases, selected data on related exposures are also presented.
The eWoRLD Surveillance System is offered in a user-friendly electronic format in which each table and figure is available for downloading in four file formats (html, gif, pdf, and csv). Previously published as a hardcopy report series, past versions of the Work-Related Lung Disease Surveillance Report are also available for viewing or downloading (see side panel).
Data contained in the eWoRLD Surveillance System originate from various publications, reports, data files, and tabulations provided by the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC), the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Social Security Administration (SSA), and the United States Bureau of Census (BOC).
