Q. How do I get a copy of the most recent budget for the Natural Resources Conservation Service?

A. The budget for the Natural Resources Conservation Service is included as part of the budget for the US Department of Agriculture.

Q. Has NRCS ever assessed the satisfaction level of its customers?

A. NRCS participated in an American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey of farmers and ranchers who received conservation technical assistance during 2000. The results of that survey can be found at NRCS ACSI Customer Satisfaction Survey.

Q. Does NRCS have an Accountability System?

A. NRCS has an Integrated Accountability System (IAS) that brings together information about strategic, performance and business planning; budgeting and cost accounting; workforce analysis, management and planning; natural resource concerns identification; performance plans, outcomes and reports; and agency operations.

The Integrated Accountability System is a set of data collection tools, processes and related applications that provide information in a timely manner to support the agency’s strategic and performance planning and monitoring, budget formulation, business planning, operations management, workforce planning, and accountability activities. The focus of the IAS is to collect high quality information with minimal burden on the field, to ensure consistency nationwide in the data collected, and to make the information accessible to those who need it in a timely manner.
