Federal Perkins Loan Program; Correction of Effective Date
AGENCY: Department of Education.
ACTION: Final regulations; correction of effective date.

SUMMARY: On April 6, 2000 technical amendments to regulations governing
the Federal Perkins Loan Program were published in the Federal Register
(65 FR 18001). This document corrects the effective date of May 8, 2000
announced. The correct effective date for the technical amendments is
July 1, 2000. These technical amendments are to take effect immediately
following the incorporation of previous amendments to 34 CFR part 674
published on October 28, 1999 (64 FR 58298-58315) with an effective
date of July 1, 2000.
DATES: The regulations amending 34 CFR part 674 published on April 6,
2000 (65 FR 18001-18003) are effective July 1, 2000.
