The Formalin Ethyl-Acetate Concentration Techniques for Intestinal Parasites

This videotape demonstrates the formalin-ethyl acetate method of
concentrating fecal specimens for recovery of parasite eggs, larvae, and cysts. The
procedure is based on differences in specific gravity between the parasitic forms and the
ethyl acetate. Cathy Spruill, Lee Moore and Eunice Rosner, Division of Laboratory Systems,
