A new field synopsis on low-penetrance variants in DNA repair genes and cancer susceptibility non-gov warning icon published online December 30, 2008, in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute Advance Access non-gov warning icon found that at most three of 1,123 genetic associations examined had “strong” credibility based on the amount of evidence, extent of replication, and protection from bias.
