The Historic Preservation Internship Training Program gives undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to undertake short-term research and administrative projects with the National Park Service either during the summer or the school year. The Internship Training Program trains our future historians, archeologists, architects, curators, planners, and archivists by providing the opportunity to work under the direction of experienced professionals in the field of historic preservation.

Applications are invited for Academic Year 2008 - 2009 internships with the National Park Service and the Department of Interior.

The application deadline is October 17, 2008.

Program Partners
Operated jointly with the National Council for Preservation Education, the Internship Training Program places students in National Park Service cultural programs headquarters and field offices and in units of the park system. Students learn about and contribute to the national historic preservation programs operated in partnership with State Historic Preservation Offices and National Park Service efforts to preserve and manage historic properties. Internships are available to undergraduate and graduates students in historic preservation programs and related disciplines.
