State Agencies North Carolina
North
Carolina’s Coordinated School Health Program (CSHP) is a collaborative
effort between the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and the
North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. The CSHP works with
schools, local health departments, governmental agencies, and professional
organizations to improve the health and academic success of North Carolina’s
children through the implementation of the CSH model. North Carolina
receives funding from CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health to
promote coordinated school health, provide HIV prevention education, and
conduct the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS).
