Assigned to Plant and Animal Production, Protection and
Processing (PAPP) Unit of Cooperative State Research,
Education and Extension Service (CSREES) in USDA. Provides
program administration to over 60 Federally funded education
projects in farm safety and farming with a disability.
Provides national leadership in determining educational
needs and program design with respect to agricultural
safety and health, and agricultural engineering. Provides
technical guidance in various aspects of agricultural
safety and health, farming with a disability and agricultural
engineering. Recommends new or additional research to
provide scientific findings to strengthen Extension education
programs. Coordinates with State officials to develop
new programs or change emphasis of existing programs to
solve problems of national or regional concern. Represents
the CSREES in coordinating activities with other USDA
agencies, Federal departments, state governments, cooperating
institutions and national organizations. National Institute
