I am a woman age 51. I have always eaten whole grain, no red meat, generally low fat, high fiber diet. My latest blood test came back with very high LDL, and I was shocked (at least my HDL levels were high also). It seems that stress can give you high cholesterol, no matter what you eat. Your own body will make it. So get checked.

Excellent fact-filled information is given on what causes high cholesterol and what you and your physician can do to get it lowered. Real numbers are given so that you can understand better what is desirable and what is not. Great site.

The cholesterol information is useful and straight forward. The main solution for high cholesterol seems to be the TLC diet. While those three letters appear many times, nothing tells the reader where to go to find a detailed description of this diet.

This a very dangerous thing. I think everybody needs to look at their nutrition facts on their food. I haven’t been around for like 40 years or more but I do know that food didn’t use to have all those bad things that are very harmful to your body. So watch out and take care of your body. Stay healthy
