22nd MEU, USS Bataan present for aircraft unveiling 

Marines and sailors from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors from the USS Bataan were present on the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum Nov. 10, 2008, during a ceremony commemorating the Marine Corps birthday and highlighting four refurbished Marine Corps aircraft the museum displays. The Marines were in New York to support Veterans Day events and Intrepid reopening as a museum.

NEW YORK-Nick Fusco, a retired Marine, cuts pieces of the ceremonial Marine Corps birthday cake for Marines and New York residents Nov. 10, 2008, during a plaque unveiling of four refurbished aircraft fighters on USS Intrepid's flight deck. Fusco entered the Marine Corps in 1948 and retired as a gunnery sergeant after 31 years of service. Marines with 22nd MEU and sailors from USS Bataan were in New York to support Veterans Day and the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum reopening.
